Solar panels for homes and villas
Air conditioning, pool pump, appliances, water booster pump… A home uses a lot of power during the day, exactly when the sun is shining. A grid-tied self-consumption system turns your roof into a source of lasting savings.
How does solar self-consumption work at home?
Solar panels turn sunlight into direct current. The inverter converts it into alternating current, identical to grid power, and feeds it into your electrical panel. Your appliances use solar energy first; your electricity provider’s grid automatically tops up when needed.
The result: you buy less electricity, especially during sunny hours. The more you shift usage to daytime (washing machine, electric water heater, pool pump, EV charging), the more you save.
What system size does my home need?
System size is measured in kilowatt-peak (kWp). It depends on your yearly consumption, your habits, the available roof area and its orientation. A villa with air conditioning and a pool does not have the same needs as an apartment.
To size it, we start from your average bill: mention it in your quote request. We then refine it with your actual bills and, if needed, a site visit.
Flat roof, pitched roof or pergola
Most Moroccan homes have a flat concrete roof: panels are installed on tilted frames, ballasted or anchored, while keeping the waterproofing intact. On a tiled roof, dedicated hooks are used. A solar pergola or carport is also an elegant option when the roof is already in use.
- South-facing is ideal, but east and west remain worthwhile.
- Shading (satellite dish, stairwell, water tank, neighbouring building) is identified during the visit.
- Access for cleaning is planned from the design stage.
With or without a battery?
Without a battery, the system costs less and pays back faster. With a lithium battery and hybrid inverter, you store daytime surplus for the evening and keep the essentials running (lighting, fridge, internet router, pump) during a power cut. We price both options so you can decide with full information.

Frequently asked questions
What is the price of solar panels for a home in Morocco?
It mainly depends on system size, equipment and the battery option. As every home is different, the price is set in a free, personalised quote, sent after a quick conversation about your needs.
Can solar panels be installed for an apartment?
Yes, if you have use of part of the roof terrace or a well-exposed balcony, and with the approval of the building’s co-owners (syndic) if the roof is shared. We look at each case individually.
Will the panels damage my roof waterproofing?
Not if they are installed properly. On flat roofs we favour mounting systems that preserve the waterproofing, and we check the roof’s condition before installation.
What happens at night?
Without a battery, your home runs on the grid at night as usual. With a battery, the energy stored during the day is used first.
